The OCR is good as is the ability to pinch zoom in to read smaller PDFs. I don't mind the split screen for taking notes about Kindle books but like pen and paper for meeting notes and notes on my PDFs. I got the Note Air 2 because I read PDFs and have an eye condition.Īfter using it for a few weeks I have realised that it won't replace my iPad for certain things, including drawing and mark up on forms and email documents. I have an older 12.9 (that my husband now uses) and a 10.3 pro. I could "hack it" with linux, I heard there is a substantial community offering software solutions but still.Īny thoughts? I wish I could compare these devices side by side. I also hate subscriptions, it seems like a rip-off. Remarkable 2 looks cool and I hear only good things about paper-like feel but it seems very limited in terms of use for my needs.

I'm leaning towards Note air 2 because of the android and apps. Is it possible to draft with a ruler on those devices? It would be nice to be able to markup the drawings but calculations and notes would be my primary task. I frequently get drawings and calculations from my clients and employees and need to be able to open them straight from the device, markup and send. The device MUST operate email, my business email that is. I have the Bellemond paper-like screen protector on it and it's still far from paper feel, my handwriting is not even close to paper handwriting. I'm happy with it for that purpose, but far from happy when it comes to taking notes and calculations.

I currently use iPad Pro 12.9" and it does my drawing markups perfectly. My daily use of eink device would be mostly calculations (see the attached example) and notes, and occasional drawing markups. I'm an engineer, I run a small consulting firm with a few employees. I need your input as per the title if anyone has experience with all or any of these devices and can recommend what fits my needs.
